Standards and materials
Procurement teams specify by standard, pressure class, and grade. The lists below follow the selected market.
ASME, ANSI, DIN, EN, JIS, GB/T, and related project specs by region.
Carbon steel, stainless, low-temperature, and alloy grades.
ASME B16.5
ASME B16.5 covers pipe flanges from NPS 1/2 through 24. It is the default North American and export specification for weld neck, slip-on, blind, socket weld, threaded, and lap joint flanges in Class 150 through 2500.
Size range: NPS 1/2–24
Pressure: Class 150, Class 300, Class 600, Class 900
ASME B16.47
ASME B16.47 covers large-diameter steel flanges, NPS 26 through 60, in Series A and Series B. Use this page when the line size is above B16.5. Weld neck and blind are the usual types; custom drilling follows the drawing.
Size range: NPS 26–60
Pressure: Class 150, Class 300, Class 600, Class 900
EN 1092-1
EN 1092-1 is the current European steel flange standard, specified by PN rating and type. It is the usual DACH and EU procurement call-out, replacing many older DIN sheet numbers on new projects.
Size range: DN 15–600, larger on request
Pressure: PN10, PN16, PN25, PN40
DIN
DIN flange dimensions remain on existing plants, spare lists, and mixed export packages. New European orders more often cite EN 1092-1. Quote DIN by the sheet number, PN, and facing on the RFQ or drawing.
Size range: DN 15–600, larger on request
Pressure: PN10, PN16, PN25, PN40
JIS B2220
JIS B2220 is the usual Japanese industrial flange standard, specified by nominal size and 5K–30K ratings. Types and drilling follow the JIS table or the buyer drawing on mixed Asian packages.
Size range: 10A–600A, larger on request
Pressure: 5K, 10K, 16K, 20K
GB/T
Chinese domestic and mixed export orders specify GB/T 9115, GB/T 9119, and HG/T 20592 by DN and PN. ASME types can ship on the same order when the package mixes GB and export specs.
Size range: DN 15–600, larger on request
Pressure: PN10, PN16, PN25, PN40
